Dragomir Genov

Assoc. Prof.

Dragomir Genov has a PhD of Sociology and serves as a tenure-track Associate Professor of Social Management at the Department of “Political Science and National Security” at the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences (FESS) at the University of Plovdiv Paisii Hilendarski (UP).
He graduated from the UP with a degree in Sociology and Political Science in 2001. He defended a PhD degree in Sociology in 2007  (dissertation titled “Social Contract and Legitimacy through the Prism of the Draft Constitution for Europe”).
As a lecturer at the UP, he teaches Sociology of Economics, Political Theory and Sociology of Politics. His long-term research interests are in the field of politics and sociology of today. He participates as an expert in national, international and European research and applied projects and numerous scientific forums

Mina Angelova

Assoc. Prof.

Dr. Mina Angelova is a tenure-track Associate Professor at the Department of “Management and Quantitative Methods in Economics” at the University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski”, Bulgaria.
Dr. Angelova’s academic career includes:

  • Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD) in “Economics and Management” – “Motivation of Human Resources”, 2014, University of National and World Economy, Sofia, Bulgaria;

  • Master Degree in “Economics of Industry”, 2010, University of Food Technologies (UFT), Plovdiv, Bulgaria;

  • Bachelor Degree in “Industrial Management”, 2009, UFT, Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

Dr. Angelova’s primary academic activities include researches on Entrepreneurship, Business Innovation, Human Resource Management, Project Management, Economics of Enterprise, Reengineering of Business Processes, Organizational Modelling, and Quality Control. She is a lecturer in Human Resource Management, Motivation Techniques and Practices, Management by Motivation, Economics of Enterprise, Entrepreneurship, and Evolution of Management for business majors in Bachelor and Master Degree Programs.
She is professionally involved in the development of research projects financed by the National Science Fund of Bulgaria (Coordinator of a research project, 2018-2020; Coordinator of a research project, 2021-2023) and in University projects, financed by the University Science Fund of the University of Plovdiv. Dr. Mina Angelova serves as a Secretary-in-Science of the Department of “Management and Quantitative Methods in Economics” at the University of Plovdiv. In addition, she promotes international collaborations with various Universities in her capacity of a Guest Lecturer in the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Programme, and participates actively in international conferences and congresses.
Dr. Mina Angelova is a Member of International Research and Business Organizations, such as the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria; the Association of the Professors in Industrial Economics and Management; and the Bulgarian Science Association of Economists;

Dr. Angelova acts as an expert in different EU projects, which include enhancement of qualification and evaluation of employees, recruitment and selection of personnel, conducting of surveys in enterprises. Also, she runs an own Event-Planning Company and she is an active free-lancing consultant in the private sector in the fields of Human Resource Management, Motivation Policy Development, and Human Resource Management Systems Development.

Kiril Desev

Dr. Kiril Desev is an Assistant Professor at the Department of  “Management and Quantitative Methods in Economics” at the University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski”, Bulgaria. Dr. Desev’s academic career includes:

  • Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD) in “Economics and Management” -“Information Technology Investment Management”, 2016, University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski”, Bulgaria.
  • Master Degree in “Business Administration”, 2009, University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski”, Bulgaria.
  • Master Degree in “Software Technologies”, 2006, University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski”, Bulgaria.

Dr. Desev’s primary academic activities include researches on Information Technologies, Machine Learning and Econometric models, and their application in various fields, such as Cryptocurrencies, Financial markets, Blockchain, Marketing, HR.
Dr. Desev is a member of the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria and the Union of Economists in Bulgaira.

Tatyana Zafirova

Tatyana Zafirova is a student in the Master program “Corporate Management” at the University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski”.
She is professionally employed in the field of Healthcare, showing interest in Human Capital Development in the healthcare system, E-Healthcare, Effective Strategic and Operational Management of the hospital system, Healthcare System Reforms, Crisis and Conflict Management in hospital units.
She is interested in the opportunities for continuing education in PhD Degree, as well as improving her competencies and development by participating in professional courses and trainings at the Medical University – Plovdiv. Successfully completed a specialization at the Department of Psychiatry of MU-Plovdiv in “Evolutionary Psychology and Psychiatry” with the following disciplines: “Basic approaches to the study of human nature”, “Prenatal brain development”, „Cross-cultural psychology and psychiatry “,” Neuropsychology of emotional behavior”.
Her preferences are expressed in activities that require depth, precision, accuracy and order.
Her business career includes constantly improvement, striving for personal realization, and receiving satisfaction with generating and sharing ideas in order to make them a reality.M

Ivelina Numerova

Ivelina Numerova is a fourth year student at the University of Plovdiv“Paisii Hilendarski”. Her major is Public administration, Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences (FESS). In the period 2017-2020 she is a member of the Management Department of the Manager’s club at FESS (a student organization). Since 2021 she is a coordinator of the Club. It is a co-organizer of a Scientific Conference Innovation and Competitiveness, held in FESS. She is a member of a Faculty quality committee and ESN student organization, that helps international students in Bulgaria, who are doing Erasmus exchange program.
She is currently a student manager in the American company Southwestern Advantage. Her responsibilities include selection, trainings and motivation for students. In 2020 she did the summer business program of the company in the USA and finished at a first place among students from more than 200 universities around the world. Her activities included generated $80 000 in retail business in 14 weeks by selling educational materials door to door in the USA.
Her goal is to graduate and take second Bachelor degree in the field of psychology, then take a Business Psychology Master’s Degree.
She is keen on setting up her own business. Striving for improving her sales skills, leadership and organizational competencies.
