Project profile

Goals

1) identifying the impact of psychological, legal and socio-political factors on the economy and in particular on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial initiative;
2) creating a flexible methodology for crisis management in societies, that will be provided to the responsible institutions of central and local government;
3) developing a conceptual model for overcoming the effects on the economy in the event of such crises.

Funding

The project KP-06-DK-2/7 is funded by the Bulgarian Science Fund in a competition of fundamental research projects on public challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic – 2020. Thematic area of the project is "2. Social, Economic and Educational Aspects of the COVID-19 Pandemic". Project title: "Economic Dimensions of the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Impact of Psychological, Legal and Socio-political Factors and Approaches for Overcoming their Negative Effects".

Teams

The main strong point of the project is its interdisciplinarity. The teams are Economics, Management, Psychology, Law, Political Sciences.

Our teams

Interdisciplinary approach for best results.

The team activities are focused on the economic consequences and measures for reviving the post crisis environment in Bulgaria.

The team is focused in conducting quality research in the fields of administration and management (entrepreneurship, social management, human resources management, innovation in public and private aspect, etc.).

The team consists of scientists from the University of Plovdiv and the Institute of Psychology of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Bulgaria. They are focused in research of personal problems and the effects on the mental health of Bulgarian citizens that are of particular importance in creating a sustainable economic post-crisis model.

Law

The team will study the regulatory solutions in the management of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the legal experience of EU countries in developing emergency management strategies and a model for overcoming the effects on the economy.

All of team members have significant competencies and scientific expertise in investigating the political processes and comparative analyses of democratic systems. They will focus their researches in building a National strategy for overcoming the crisis consequences.
